Steve Romaine has nearly 30 years experience in investment banking and executive search, including over 20 years in Japan and Asia. He has originated and executed over 100 senior searches in the financial services industry across Corporate Finance, Structured Finance and Derivatives, ECM & DCM, Research & Sales, Asset Management, and senior leadership positions such as Country Manager, COO,

Head of Investment Banking and Head of Credit. He is currently the Branch Manager for New Millenium Partners based in Tokyo, Japan. He has a strong relationship with Global Strategy Advise Services for more than 15 years having worked in important projects with various clients.

Steve entered the search profession in 1995 after a career in corporate and investment banking at Merrill Lynch and Bank of Boston. He has served as President of Korn/Ferry’s Global Financial Services Practice, President of Korn/Ferry Asia-Pacific Region, and Country Manager of Hudson Highland Group in Japan. He draws on his management experience in providing clients advice on structuring their businesses and attracting senior executives. Steve was born in the U.S. and won a scholarship to study Japanese at International Christian University in Tokyo. He earned his B.A. summa cum laude from Principia College, and his M.A. from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.

Steve serves as a director and advisor to merchant banks and fund managers including Developing World Markets, Mosaic Capital LLC and Global Alliance Limited. He has been active in the community as a board member of the Tokyo American Club, trustee of the American School in Japan, and member of the New York Athletic Club. Steve is married to a Japanese University Professor and has two children who are global citizens, just as he is.
