Sally Rowley Williams has had a distinguished career in the financial services industry in both New York and London, been a Senior Client Partner and ran the Financial Services practice in one of the world’s largest executive search firms and founded her own career consultancy business of which she is Chief Executive. Career Doctor assists firms to build their leadership teams through executive search and talent management and individuals with practical career advice from re-drafting CVs to approach to market. Currently, Sally also provides strategic and tactical HR advice to a variety of clients across several industry sectors. Additionally, she is a non executive Director and on the Executive Committee of the Racehorse Owners Association, a non executive Director on the board of the Greenspan Realty Corporation, a Trustee on the board of The Pony Club, and recently founded and now Chairs the Women in Racing network.

Previously, Sally was a Director at the UK private bank, Arbuthnot Latham and for nearly 13 years beforehand, a Senior Client Partner at Korn/Ferry International, the world’s second largest executive search firm. She was responsible for developing and managing the Firm’s largest global client relationship, as well as managing the European Financial Services team across the UK and Continental Europe, totalling about $16 million in revenues and 40 other Partners.

In total, Sally has worked in the financial services industry for nearly 20 years, starting out with Chemical Bank in New York where she managed a team of bankers focused on entrepreneurs, as well as the Treasury division and recruiting for the BA and MBA training programs. She moved into Commodities at First Chicago, London, briefly before taking up a position at Citibank, London as a Senior Global Relationship Manager for the leading merchant banks in the UK and then into Debt Capital Markets at Citicorp Investment Bank, where she traded debt as well originated debt products for French and British financial institutions.

Sally began her working life in the US, where she had been raised. She graduated BA cum Laude with Honors in History from Williams College in Massachusetts, before going on to earn her MBA at the New York Graduate School of Business, having studied at London Business School. Her interests are many and varied, but she loves Racing, Golf, Riding, and as a former 4 time Marathon runner, still runs regularly. She is an active member of Forum UK, an invitation-only network for the top 200 women in the UK.

She is married, lives with her husband in the Oxfordshire countryside and takes full advantage of her dual American and British nationalities by travelling extensively to both sides of the Atlantic.
