Juan focuses on one-to-one coaching at the most senior levels within financial institutions, major corporates, professional service firms and the Civil Service. He has a particular interest and expertise in coaching situations where rapid change is necessary to maximise performance and to help talented professionals adapt to new roles, responsibilities and organisations.

He is the Managing Director of Universitas Telefonica, the Corporate University of Telefonica, S.A. responsible for the training and learning strategy of Telefonica professionals worldwide. The Corporate University has its Campus in Barcelona, Spain. In its capacity as MD of the CU Juan is member of the Global HR Corporate Committee and reports to Telefonica, S.A. HR Director. He is member of Telefonica, S.A. Operating Committee for Catalunya, based in Barcelona.

He joined Telefonica Group in 1997 as Director for Business development in Latin America. During three years he lived in Miami and covered all Central American Countries and Colombia, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Ecuador, etc. In 2001 he passed to Terra Networks S.A., as responsible for International JV of the Group Terra Networks. In 2004 he was appointed Human Resources Corporate EVP to lead, from HR, the take over integration of Terra Networks into Telefonica S.A. In 2005 he assumed the post of Deputy General Manager of Telefonica S.A. in Catalonia.

Before joining Telefonica, Mr. Rovira served for more than 15 years in the banking industry being mainly focused on the international banking environment. He acquired an extensive experience in International Capital Markets and Electronic Banking.He holds a Law degree from the University of Barcelona and a PDG from IESE, University of Navarra.
