Gerardo Suarez is an established multicultural professional with an international proven track record in Human Capital Services and Solutions. He has over 15 years of experience delivering value and achieving results in high performance environments with a proven-track record in P&L Management, Office/Business Ramp-ups. Throughout his career, Gerardo has demonstrated strength in building, leading and mentoring teams within challenging sales environments as well as skillfully fostering relationships with executives and decision makers.

Gerardo began his professional career in the Plastics Machinery Industry. He joined Krauss-Maffei Technologies in Munich, Germany and supported the company’s expansion and growth phase in the Latin American and Spanish markets achieving over $30M in revenue. During this time, Gerardo was part of the sales team and managed all in-factory orders for the region and was in direct contact with customers from the Automotive, Aerospace Medical, and Packaging Industries.

After several years in the industry, Gerardo joined Michael Page Germany as a search consultant with the aim of developing their Engineering & Manufacturing practice, based on his previous experience in the industrial world, he was able to capitalize rapidly on his know-how / expertise and was able to win searches and grow the business in the Southern German region. Due to his success, he was rewarded with the management responsibility for various teams in the Munich office and under his leadership, it became one of the top locations in the country. In his last role with Page, he was asked to lead the Munich Office as the Director with P&L responsibility and reporting to the CEO. After having spent close to 10 years in Germany, Gerardo decided to relocate to the USA for personal reasons and moved to New York City to continue building on his executive recruitment experience. He joined Proco Global, an executive search firm focused on end-to-end supply chains, as their Office Director with the goal of developing the firm’s presence in North America. Gerardo was responsible for achieving after just 2 years over $3M in revenue and 18% EBITDA and was eventually asked to launch a green field operation in Mexico City. After achieving growth successfully with both offices, Gerardo decided to join Amrop Industrial Search as their Managing Director in New York City where he focused on winning and delivering senior retained executive search projects across the Industrial markets in the USA.

Most recently, Gerardo was recruited by Acre, a global sustainability search firm, in New York City as part of their expansion into the USA market. In the first of year of trading, the Acre NY team achieved all of its targets and was quickly positioned as a key partner for US Corporates looking to strengthen their sustainability teams.

Gerardo was awarded his bachelor’s degree in International Economics & Business Administration from the American University of Paris. He is a Mexican national, with US work permit. He is fluent in Spanish, German and French. He is married and has two young children. He practices several sports, enjoys travelling and is willing to relocate for the right opportunity.
